Rooted and Growing: A Fruit of the Spirit Devotional Series
Most of us want to grow in our walk with God.
We want our faith to feel real, steady, and lived out in everyday life.
But growth does not come from trying harder or doing more.
It comes from staying rooted in Christ.
Scripture reminds us that fruit is not something we manufacture through effort. Fruit grows naturally when the root system is healthy.
“But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.”
Galatians 5:22–23
The fruit of the Spirit is evidence of God’s work inside of us. It is not a checklist to complete or a personality trait to perfect.
It is the quiet, steady result of walking closely with Jesus.
Rooted and Growing is a devotional series created to help you slow down and pay attention to how this fruit is showing up in your life right now. Each day focuses on one fruit of the Spirit, offering Scripture, a short reflection, and a gentle invitation to live it out in everyday moments.
This series is not about measuring spiritual progress. It is about awareness, presence, and openness to what God is already doing in you.
How to Use This Series
This series includes nine short devotionals, one for each fruit of the Spirit.
There is no schedule to keep and no pressure to finish quickly. You are invited to return to these reflections whenever you need grounding, recalibration, or encouragement.
Each devotional follows the same simple rhythm:
Scripture
Reflection
Pause and Reflect
Practice
You do not need to rush through the series. Growth often happens slowly, quietly, and over time.

You can begin with the first devotional or start wherever you feel most drawn. God meets us where we are.
Remember:
The fruit of the Spirit is not about becoming someone else.
It is about becoming more rooted in who God is and allowing His work to shape how we live, love, and respond.
As you move through this series, my hope is that you feel less pressure to perform and more freedom to grow.
Not all at once. Not perfectly. But steadily.
When we stay rooted in Christ, growth follows.
